Joining our supportive team will give you the opportunity to influence those at the cutting edge of world leading research. However, you won’t spend all your time number crunching - providing up-to-date financial information is a vital part of your role but the critical aspect is sharing this with our senior management team in a manner they understand and being able to influence their decision-making.

You will have a team of part qualified accountants to aid you in being the main point of financial advice and support, carrying out a range of professional accountancy tasks to assist in planning, monitoring budgets and decision making.

We offer a great package which includes 30 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays and 6 additional University closure days, a pension scheme, on-site sports, arts and culture facilities and a wide range of discounts from national and international shops and services.

To be successful you will be a qualified CCAB or equivalent accountant and comfortable working in a complex financial environment with excellent working knowledge of accounting systems and, ideally, you will have proven leadership skills.
