Full job description

We are urgently looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Workshop Joinery Assistant to join our small team of furniture makers and craftspeople.

This role is a great opportunity to begin a career with a company that offers fantastic career development. Full training is provided but an interest in woodwork or furniture making would be advantageous.

Duties:

Preparing timber components for production: sawing/sanding
Assisting joiners with basic joinery & furniture preparation tasks
Assembly of timber components and products
General processing of materials and assisting within the workshop
Final finishing, sanding and preparing items for dispatch
Maintenance of equipment and workshop cleanliness
Loading and unloading deliveries

Key Requirements:

Previous experience working in a production or workshop environment would be an advantage although not essential
Experience using basic power tools such as drills and electric saws is an advantage
Good attention to detail
Good communication skills
Comfortable with manual handling of large furniture items and working in a fast-paced environment
