Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Car Sprayer/Prepper to join our automotive refinishing team. This role involves preparing vehicles for painting, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Mix and match colours accurately to achieve the desired finish.
- Operate spray guns and other power tools to apply paint, primer, or clear coats with precision.
- Perform quality checks on painted surfaces to ensure smooth, even finishes free of defects.
- Assist with vehicle assembly and disassembly as needed during the prep and finishing stages.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of quality.
Requirements
- Previous experience in automotive painting or bodywork is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment are advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling vehicle parts or equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness suitable for standing for extended periods and performing manual tasks throughout the shift.
