Product Testing Team Leader

Lead the Charge in Quality Excellence – Join Us as Product Testing Team Leader!

Are you passionate about driving quality and innovation in software testing? We're looking for a hands-on QA Test Team Leader to inspire and guide a small, dynamic team in delivering top-tier solutions for the telecare industry. ️Hours: 35 hour per week

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Salary: Up to £42,000 dependant on experience

Start Date: August /September

Location: Hybrid - New Milton (4 days in office 1 WFH)

ABOUT YOU

Requirements & Experience

Strong team management and leadership skills, with at least 3 years’ experience managing teams.
Previous experience within a Technology, QA, Telecommunications, or Manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of managing testing teams, test environments, and quality assurance activities, with a passion for driving quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Experience with test management tools is highly desirable.
Exposure to test automation, risk-based testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination would be advantageous.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
Professional certifications such as ISTQB Test Manager and/or Agile methodology training or certification would be beneficial.

THE ROLE

As our QA Test Team Leader, you’ll be at the heart of driving quality excellence across our software solutions. Leading a small, agile QA team, you’ll take a hands-on approach to optimise testing processes, ensuring our products meet the highest standards required in the telecare industry.

You’ll oversee detailed manual testing while strategically advancing our automated testing capabilities. Your leadership will foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture, and you’ll be instrumental in embedding best practices, maintaining compliance, and enhancing efficiency across our QA operations.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead and guide the QA team in implementing and enhancing quality assurance practices to meet the highest standards in software development for Appello and Careline365.
Introduce and coordinate the review and approval of test scripts and results.
Oversee and execute meticulous manual testing processes to identify and resolve software issues.
Strategically drive and integrate automated testing practices to improve efficiency and reliability.
Foster a collaborative team culture, encouraging effective communication and knowledge sharing.
Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues across departments.
Establish and enforce QA best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Champion the adoption and integration of automated testing tools and technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development and testing processes.
Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies.
Take accountability for the overall efficiency and reliability of testing processes.
Lead initiatives to maintain comprehensive documentation for knowledge sharing.
Provide insights and recommendations on testing tools and technologies to enhance strategy.
Offer leadership and line management for the QA team, supporting development, performance, and collaboration.
