You will be working alongside an established CAMHS team at an important time in our development. It really is an exciting time to be joining Southampton CAMHS as we push forward with implementing new ways of working in order to best meet the needs of the population we work with.
The CAMHs team is part of a supportive and innovative child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS) in Southampton. The aim of this service is to support a child/young person in continuing with their mental health recovery at home with their families with the right support and most importantly the least restrictive.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
The post holder will be part of the CAMHS multi-disciplinary team delivering specialist mental health support for children and young people and their parents/carers.
All young people who are accepted to the service will follow a structured Programme, in line with relevant NICE guidelines. Interventions are delivered by a multi-disciplinary clinical team comprising of: Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologists, Nurses, Social Worker, Family Therapist, Assistant Psychologists and Managerial Support.
The successful candidate would be professionally registered and be supported to work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures. The CAMHS team is a strong and supportive team and has excellent structures to offer regular supervision and support.
