We are a Microsoft-first MSP based in Bath, with around 20 people, roughly 50 SME clients and 2,000 managed endpoints across the South West and beyond. We hold four Microsoft Solutions Partner designations and have been growing steadily since 2019.

The opportunity
We're looking for a graduate who wants to build their career in IT, not just a job to get through. You'll begin on our Service Desk, at the sharp end of everything we do, sorting out real problems for technology-focused clients, and learning how a modern Microsoft-first MSP actually works by doing it.
That’s the start, and it’s a proper grounding in IT, you’ll be exposed to time-pressured, often challenging problems with the technology you’re learning, day in and day out. How far you take it from there is on you. The people who do well here are the ones who show up wanting to learn, dig into the detail until they understand something properly, and put the effort in. For those people, there’s genuine scope to grow as we keep building our team and business.
The role
This is an office-based, hands-on role. You'll be based primarily in our Bath office, working alongside a team that have a genuine desire to see you succeed. You'll also get out to client sites across the South West, helping resolve issues on-site and, over time, supporting and delivering their infrastructure directly.
Early on, the focus is on building rock-solid fundamentals: fielding and resolving tickets, delivering great customer service, and getting properly comfortable across the Microsoft stack our clients depend on. That foundation is what everything else in your career here builds from.
What that looks like right now
- Front-line support on our Service Desk, triaging and resolving tickets, remote troubleshooting, and learning to prioritise.
- Logging, tracking and documenting every job properly, tickets, notes and knowledge base articles, building good habits from the start.
- Day to day account administration, password resets, new starter and leaver setups, device provisioning, the fundamentals every good IT career is built on.
- Exposure to modern Microsoft technology across our full client base, including Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, Conditional Access, SharePoint and Exchange.
- Site visits to client offices across the South West, getting hands-on with real support issues, hardware, networking, infrastructure, and more.
- Building genuine infrastructure and network skills, servers, firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi, all supported by an experienced team.
- Being the calm, capable voice clients hear when something’s gone wrong, learning what excellent customer service looks like under pressure.
What we’re looking for
- A genuine hunger to build a career in IT, someone who wants to get ahead, not just get through the day.
- Naturally curious about technology, you want to know how things work under the hood.
- Comfortable talking to people, confident, clear and calm with our clients and wider team.
- Wants to learn from people more experienced than you, this is a role for someone to develop their skills and experience at pace.
- Resilient and hands-on, equally happy at a desk working through tickets or out at a client site getting stuck in.
- Able to get yourself to client sites across the South West, by car, train or otherwise.
- A relevant degree or equivalent self-taught passion for technology, we care more about drive and aptitude than a specific certificate.
- Ambitious, you see this as the first step of a career.
Progression
We're scaling organically, controlled growth, focused on bringing in the right people who want to grow with us. This role is a genuine entry point into a technical career at bzb IT. Graduates who show the right attitude and aptitude have a clear route from Service Desk into 2nd and 3rd line support, and on into infrastructure, networking or security specialisms as those areas of the business continue to grow. Practicalities
- Based in Bath, this is a hands-on role built around being in the office and out on client sites across the South West, not one suited to someone looking for a fully flexible or remote setup.
- Salary £27,000
- Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension, certification exam funding and paid study time, regular training and coaching, casual dress, company events, gym membership, and limited use of on site parking.
