This is a varied role that combines internal account management, quotation preparation, customer engagement, lead generation, and sales support. You'll be responsible for handling customer enquiries, preparing quotations, supporting our sales team, and generating qualified opportunities for our external account managers and technical specialists.

About the Role

Working from our Elland office, you will act as a key point of contact for both new and existing customers. You will manage incoming enquiries via telephone, email and website enquiries, prepare quotations, follow up opportunities, and support customers throughout the sales process.

Alongside account management responsibilities, you will proactively identify and develop new business opportunities across the education, corporate and public sectors through outbound prospecting, marketing follow-up activities, and lead generation campaigns.

You'll work closely with our sales, technical, procurement and marketing teams to help drive business growth and ensure customers receive professional and timely support.

Key ResponsibilitiesInternal Account Management

Handle incoming customer enquiries via telephone, email and website enquiries.
Prepare and manage quotations using internal systems and supplier pricing.
Follow up quotations and sales opportunities to maximise conversion rates.
Support external account managers with opportunity development and customer communications.

Lead Generation & Business Development

Research and identify new business opportunities within education, corporate and public sector markets.
Conduct outbound calls, emails and LinkedIn engagement activities.
Qualify prospects and arrange appointments for external sales personnel.
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective customers.
Support marketing campaigns and follow up inbound enquiries.
Achieve agreed KPIs relating to opportunities created, meetings booked and pipeline generation.

Sales Support

Prepare quotations, proposals and customer documentation.
Maintain accurate customer records and opportunities within the CRM system.
Support tender and framework opportunities where required.
Assist with project updates and commercial follow-up activities.

CRM & Administration

Accurately manage customer and prospect information.
Track sales activities, opportunities and follow-up actions.
Produce pipeline and activity reports.
Ensure all customer and prospect interactions are recorded correctly.

Skills & ExperienceEssential

Previous experience in internal sales, account management, sales support, or lead generation.
Experience preparing and following up customer quotations.
Excellent telephone and communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to build rapport and develop customer relationships.
Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Self-motivated with a positive and proactive approach.

Desirable

Experience within AV, IT, technology, telecoms or managed services sectors.
Experience working with education, public sector or corporate customers.
Knowledge of LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools.
Experience supporting tender opportunities and generating pipeline activity.
