MAC Groundwork Contractors Ltd is a well-established and growing civil engineering and groundwork company delivering high-quality projects nationwide. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced and reliable Senior Tarmac Finisher / Roller Operator to join our team.
The Role
We are looking for a skilled individual with extensive experience in tarmac surfacing and operating ride-on roller machinery. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-standard paving and surfacing works across a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Laying and finishing asphalt/tarmac surfaces to a high standard.
- Operating ride-on roller equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assisting with all aspects of surfacing operations.
- Ensuring work is completed in line with project specifications and quality standards.
- Carrying out daily equipment checks and reporting defects.
- Leading by example on site and supporting junior team members.
- Maintaining a strong focus on health and safety at all times.
RequirementsEssential:
- Proven experience as a Tarmac Finisher and Roller Operator.
- CPCS/NPORS Roller qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong understanding of asphalt surfacing techniques.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good knowledge of site health and safety procedures.
Desirable:
- Experience working on highways, commercial developments, and infrastructure projects.
- Machine operation experience beyond rolling equipment.
- First Aid qualification.
