Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Car Dismantler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently dismantling vehicles, ensuring that parts are removed and organised for resale or recycling. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle components, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in automotive work and mechanical processes.

Duties

Safely dismantle vehicles using appropriate hand tools and power tools
Remove and categorise vehicle parts such as engines, transmissions, body panels, and interior components
Ensure all dismantling activities adhere to health and safety regulations
Organise and store removed parts systematically for easy identification and retrieval
Assist with the disposal or recycling of non-reusable vehicle materials
Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning

Experience

Previous experience in vehicle dismantling, automotive repair, or related mechanical roles is desirable but not essential
Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for understanding vehicle systems and components
Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers is required
Experience with power tools used in dismantling processes is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, often handling bulky vehicle parts or assemblies
Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks throughout the shift
