Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Operative - Engineering to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will support the maintenance, assembly, and operational functions within our engineering department. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills while contributing to a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. All roles are paid positions, emphasizing the importance of your contribution to our team’s success.

Responsibilities

Assist with the setting and maintenance of engineering equipment and machinery.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform routine tasks and repairs.
Support warehouse operations by preparing parts and organizing materials
Conduct visual inspections of equipment and work areas to identify potential issues or safety hazards.
Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to maintain a secure working environment.
Collaborate with team members to complete production schedules.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and inspection reports.

Requirements

Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in engineering or manufacturing environments.
Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Previous experience in assembly or warehouse roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
Good physical dexterity with the ability to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met during assembly and inspections.
Prior experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.
