Hastings Freight is seeking an organised and proactive Resource Maintenance Co-ordinator to plan and coordinate maintenance, servicing, inspections and repairs across our vehicles, plant and equipment. The successful candidate will help ensure legal and operational deadlines are met, records remain accurate and audit-ready, and maintenance activity supports a safe, efficient operation.
Key responsibilities
· Schedule vehicle servicing, inspections, repairs, breakdown support and other compliance-related activity in line with DVSA requirements.
· Coordinate maintenance, inspections and repairs for FLTs, EPTs, MHE and other company plant and equipment, including LOLER requirements.
· Complete tachograph downloads and monitor deadlines to support full legal compliance.
· Maintain accurate, complete and audit-ready maintenance, compliance, purchasing and inventory records.
· Provide administrative support for internal processes and communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers and service providers.
· Produce KPI reports on time and support inventory purchasing and stock control as directed.
What you’ll need
· Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing schedules, deadlines and changing operational priorities.
· Excellent attention to detail and a consistent approach to accurate record keeping and data entry.
· Confidence using Excel and other maintenance, compliance or business software.
· Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and service providers.
· A proactive, reliable approach to problem solving, KPI monitoring, stock control and continuous improvement.
Desirable but not essential
· A good understanding of vehicle, plant and equipment maintenance compliance, including DVSA, LOLER and tachograph requirements, or the ability to develop this knowledge quickly.
· Experience in transport, logistics, compliance or warehouse environments
· Knowledge of DVSA, tachograph or WTD compliance
