Lead Fabricator

Location: Renfrew, ScotlandJob Type: Full-time | Permanent

Join Our Team

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Fabricator to join our growing team in Renfrew.

This is a hands-on role within a small, busy workshop, ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example. You’ll spend the majority of your time fabricating and welding while helping to organise the day-to-day running of the workshop, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the team.

If you’re an experienced fabricator with strong leadership skills and take pride in producing high-quality work, we’d like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out high-quality MIG and MMA welding.
Fabricate structural and architectural steelwork from engineering drawings.
Read and interpret fabrication drawings accurately.
Lead, support and motivate a small workshop team.
Plan and prioritise daily workshop activities.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets our quality standards.
Assist with technical problem-solving and workshop organisation.
Mentor junior fabricators and apprentices.
Maintain a safe, clean and efficient working environment.

About You

You’ll have:

Proven experience as a fabricator/welder.
Strong MIG and MMA welding skills.
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Excellent fabrication and workshop skills.
A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to lead by example.
High attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
A full UK driving licence (preferred).
