37 hours per week, shift working over seven days

Permanent

£33,534 - £33,789

£17.38 - £17.51 per hour

The above amounts include shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance.

We are happy to talk flexible working, where possible.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person to undertake Cook duties at Hamnavoe House, a residential establishment in Stromness providing continuous care to the frail, elderly and those with dementia. You will assist in preparing a choice of nutritional meals to a consistently high standard whilst ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene.

Applicants must have relevant experience in a similar post, and hold an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate. Applications from people with Elementary Food Hygiene who are willing to achieve Intermediate level will also be considered.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.

This post is subject to a Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with protected adults.

This post involves a contractual requirement to:
