ROLE: Head of Engineering Services - Facilities
SALARY: £60,000 + 10% Annual Bonus
LOCATION: Swansea, South Wales

We're looking for a Head of Engineering to oversee and manage the delivery of high-quality hard services across a site-based contract in South Wales, ensuring operational excellence, statutory compliance, strong client relationships and continuous service improvement.
Role Responsibilities:
Lead, manage and motivate the hard services teams, building a proactive, collaborative and customer-focused culture that supports continuous improvement.
Oversee third-party contractors to ensure services are delivered to agreed contractual standards, including performance against KPIs, SLAs and compliance requirements.
Ensure emergency planning, health and safety procedures, statutory compliance activity, audits and inspections are robust, up to date and effectively managed.
Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring resources are used efficiently while identifying opportunities for operational and financial growth.
Work closely with senior management, clients and stakeholders to improve service delivery, maximise asset life and maintain accurate reporting against key performance metrics.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in a hard services management role within Facilities Management or a related sector, with strong knowledge of complex building services including HVAC, electrical systems and building fabric maintenance.
Relevant professional qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline, such as HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent.
Must have strong knowledge of SFG20 legislation.
Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, UK Health and Safety legislation, CDM Regulations, CAFM systems, Microsoft Office and effective maintenance and asset management strategies.
