It’s an exciting time to join UKSBS as we transform our business to be the leading UK public sector business service provider. We aim to become a very different organisation over the next few years as we move to a modern multi-platform, digitally enabled organisation.

Our Procurement teams work closely with our partners to help them realise their business needs and specialist project requirements. Within this team, you will find yourself buying anything from commodity items through to contracts relating to Space, Energy and Carbon Net Zero, Consultancy, IT services and goods to name a few, but no two days are the same. As an organisation we pride ourselves by supporting the Government to get the best outcome and to meet service level agreements (SLA).

Due to recent promotions, we now have an exciting opportunity for someone keen to develop and enhance their procurement experience to join our team.

Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

Provide sourcing services for purchases up to £100K.
Guide and support our partners purchasing and non-purchasing community in the use of e-procurement tools.
Maintain the policies and procedures for the Procurement teams, including recent Government requirements and initiatives.
Manage requisitions of multiple values within the team via Oracle.
Manage the administration of Service Requests relating to electronic procurement process, meeting SLAs agreed with the Partner Organisations

To do this role well you will need:

Aptitude/interest in learning numerous procurement management systems
Demonstrable knowledge of purchasing tools & techniques preferred
Proven experience in the customer focussed delivery of customer objectives
Experience of working both in a team and independently, with the ability to organise multiple priorities with time-pressured deadlines.
Excellent knowledge of Outlook & Microsoft Office Products, as well as the ability to analyse using Excel.
Experience of electronic purchasing platforms, such as Jaggaer, would be highly advantageous
Basic understanding of Oracle or similar ERP systems.
