Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Temporary Teaching Assistant (TA) to support classroom instruction and student engagement across various educational settings. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with educators, students, and families to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment. Duties

Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities tailored to diverse student needs
Support students with special education requirements, including those with disabilities and autism, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations
Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to help students improve academic skills and confidence
Facilitate communication between teachers, students, and parents to promote understanding and collaboration
Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions to maintain a safe environment
Help prepare educational materials and organize classroom resources for daily lessons
Observe student behavior and progress, documenting insights to inform instructional strategies

Experience

Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or autism demonstrates a strong understanding of special education needs
Background in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring enhances ability to connect with students effectively
Excellent communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members, students, and families
Knowledge of special education strategies and accommodations is a valuable asset
Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for fostering inclusive learning environments
