About the role
Reporting to the Delivery Lead, your accountabilities will include:
Additional responsibilities and accountabilities include:
- Enabling effective delivery across a portfolio of applications and agile teams — managing dependencies, coordinating releases, and ensuring technical solutions are scalable, secure and fit for purpose.
- Owning the technology stack in scope, maintaining supportability, performance and security compliance, and leading technical impact assessments and delivery estimates.
- Working closely with Product Owners, developers, testers and architects to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Leading cross-functional teams — including developers, testers and DevOps engineers — without direct line management authority.
- Managing release planning, risk mitigation and stakeholder communication across complex delivery landscapes, influencing priorities with senior IT and business stakeholders.
- Supporting the expansion of cloud technologies and ensuring their integration into delivery pipelines and architecture.
This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition.
About You
To be successful in this critical role, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Substantial experience in delivery management, project management or agile coaching within a software development environment.
- Deep understanding of Agile principles, with hands-on experience facilitating Scrum or Kanban delivery.
- Solid working knowledge of cloud platforms — AWS in particular (Azure or GCP also welcome) — and how they integrate into delivery pipelines and architecture.
- Sufficient hands-on technical understanding of cloud environments and modern application stacks to own supportability, challenge technical proposals and support delivery decisions.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, able to explain delivery concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience managing resource capacity, identifying skill gaps and planning team augmentation in a structured, forward-looking way.
- A data-driven mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement, experimentation and learning.
- Comfortable working with offshore and outsourced teams, collaborating effectively across time zones.
If you meet the above minimum requirements, we encourage you to apply. Your application will be even stronger if you can also demonstrate the following desirable criteria:
- Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Bitbucket or similar platforms.
- Awareness of emerging AI tools and their potential impact on delivery practices.
- Exposure to assessment technologies or exam board processes.
- Relevant cloud or delivery certification (e.g. AWS, Agile/Scrum, project management).
