What you’ll be doing:
As a Senior Analyst, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality analytical services within a busy laboratory environment. Your work will directly support operational and business objectives by ensuring samples are analysed accurately, efficiently, and in line with agreed quality standards and timescales. Working closely with laboratory leaders and colleagues, you will use your technical knowledge and attention to detail to produce reliable results while helping to maintain the smooth day-to-day operation of the laboratory.
- Deliver accurate sample preparation, analysis, testing and reporting to meet customer and business requirements.
- Work collaboratively to monitor laboratory performance, resolve issues proactively and minimise operational delays.
- Maintain the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance by identifying improvements and supporting corrective actions.
- Develop your technical expertise through cross-training, technical documentation, improvement projects and wider laboratory activities.

- HNC in a science-related subject (or equivalent qualification and experience), with STEM qualifications desirable.
- Laboratory experience, or a strong interest in developing a career in analytical science.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Good safety awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver accurate results under pressure and to deadlines
Terms and Conditions
Basic Annual Income – Starting salary of £38,354, to a maximum of £47,000 depending on experience.
We also welcome applications from aspiring analysts who are keen to develop their skills, with trainee opportunities available and salary dependent on experience (£26,807 to £37,030)
Working Hours – 37.9 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with every third Friday as a non-working day.
Annual Holiday Entitlement – 25 days annual leave, 8 public holidays, 2.5 privilege holidays
Contract Duration – 12 month contract.
Security Clearance – The successful candidate will be required to undergo security clearance checks.
