Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Upholstery - Seat Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling and upholstering seats with precision and care, ensuring high-quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and experience in assembly or related trades. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within a dynamic production environment.

Responsibilities

Assemble seat components using hand tools, power tools, and sewing equipment
Upholster seats with fabric, foam, and other materials according to specifications
Operate fabrication machinery and assist with material cutting and preparation
Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure standards are maintained
Assist with the handling and movement of heavy seat parts within the warehouse or production area
Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality targets

Skills

Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely
Experience in sewing, upholstery, or fabric fabrication is highly desirable
Warehouse experience or familiarity with assembly line processes is advantageous
Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling of large components
Strong attention to detail to ensure precise assembly and finishing
Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a team environment
Ability to follow technical instructions accurately and adhere to safety protocols

Pay: £12.81 per hour
