Full job description

Are you looking to start or build your career in community pharmacy? Allied Pharmacy in Mountain Ash is looking for a Dispenser or Trainee Dispenser to join our friendly team and help deliver a first-class service to our local patients.

Working in a busy community pharmacy, you'll play an important part in supporting the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions, while providing a warm and professional experience for everyone who walks through our doors. If you're new to dispensing, we'll support you through your training so you can gain a recognised qualification and grow with us.

Key responsibilities:

Accurately dispense prescriptions in line with standard operating procedures
Assist the pharmacist with the day-to-day running of the dispensary
Provide friendly, helpful advice and support to patients and customers
Manage stock, including ordering, receiving deliveries and rotating medicines
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with confidentiality and GPhC standards
Support the wider team to deliver NHS and private pharmacy services

What we're looking for:

Previous experience as a Dispenser, or a genuine interest in training towards a recognised Dispensing Assistant qualification
Strong attention to detail and a methodical, accurate approach to your work
Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient-focused manner
The ability to work well as part of a close-knit team in a busy environment
Good IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems
A reliable, professional attitude and a commitment to high standards
