Full job description

Bakery Assistant

We are looking for enthusiastic and hard-working individuals to join our growing team at our bakery in Kenn, near Clevedon, North Somerset. No experience is necessary as training will be given, although an understanding of food production would be an asset.

You will be helping produce, bake, finish and pack cakes into various outer cases and completing all necessary paperwork in line with the Company’s Food Safety and Quality standards.

We are extremely proud of our heritage and our team, who work together to make, bake and dispatch our innovative and indulgent treats for customers within the travel, fine food, leisure and coffee shop sectors.

We are passionate about baking and pride ourselves in the quality and service we give to our customers. We work in a fast-paced environment, but our products are still hand crafted and we never skimp on our standards. We are growing fast and are looking for great people to join our packing team.

Hours:

We are looking for Full-Time team members on the below shift:

Monday to Friday, working the following hours:

2pm to 10 pm each day

Please note that finish times are not exact and will vary depending on workload. The above is a rough guide but some days may have earlier finishes, whereas others may be slightly later.

About You:

You have common sense and a can-do attitude
You are a great communicator and enjoy working as part of a team
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
You naturally work to high standards and are organised and detailed with paperwork
You follow food safety standards and procedures set by the company
You have a healthy track record of attendance and a positive and motivated approach to work

Responsibilities and duties (training provided):

Setting up and running bakery machinery including baking products
Carrying out metal detection checks
Accurately completing required paperwork
Preparing and packing product into boxes
Ensuring workstations and floor areas are clean and tidy
Maintain a good working atmosphere in the team
Minimise and report any waste of packaging/products
