Steel Operative – Rebar Cut & Bend
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join one of the South West’s leading steel reinforcement suppliers. As a Steel Operative within our rebar cut and bend facility, you will be a key part of the production team, helping to ensure the efficient manufacture of high-quality reinforcement products.
Key Responsibilities:
· Safely operate rebar cutting and bending machinery, tools, and equipment in line with company procedures and Health & Safety standards.
· Read and work from bar bending schedules and production instructions.
· Complete production tasks accurately and within required timescales.
· Carry out quality checks to ensure finished rebar meets specification and tolerance requirements.
· Handle, move, and stack steel safely using appropriate manual handling techniques or lifting equipment.
· Accurately complete production records and related documentation.
About You:
· A good understanding of Health & Safety, with a strong commitment to safe working practices.
· Previous experience in a steel, rebar, or manufacturing environment is desirable, but not essential as training can be provided.
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes and technical instructions.
· A reliable, proactive attitude and the physical capability to work in an industrial environment.
· A team player who takes pride in producing quality work.
