Quality Engineer

Crowborough, East Sussex, UK

Full Time | Permanent | 38 Hours per Week

Site-Based Role

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We are looking for a talented Quality Engineer to join our team in Crowborough and play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, driving quality performance and supporting business growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on quality professional who enjoys solving complex problems, leading improvement initiatives and working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to deliver meaningful results.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Quality Engineer, you will:

Support the development, implementation and sustainment of manufacturing and business processes across UKTC Operations, New Value Introduction (NVI) and Value Engineering (VE) activities.
Drive manufacturing improvements through structured problem-solving activities and coaching of manufacturing teams.
Monitor, analyse and report quality-related KPI data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Manage and support the resolution of customer complaints and quality issues in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and improve manufacturing process controls.
Lead process and product improvement projects.]
Support compliance with Servomex quality assurance standards and best practices.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools and techniques.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experience implementing process controls and quality improvement initiatives.
Ability to coach and mentor others in structured problem-solving techniques.
A practical, hands-on approach with the drive to deliver sustainable improvements.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and auditing.
Experience within electronics and/or mechanical manufacturing environments.
New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
Power BI, Power Apps or Power Automate.
SAP and Minitab.
Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt or equivalent experience
HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
