Team Manager

Reports To

Operations Manager / Department Manager

Job Purpose

This role involves day to day management of our VAT administrative responsibilities for our clients across the globe. We facility VAT registrations, compliance and filings in multiple EU countries.

The Team Manager is responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a team to achieve business objectives while delivering excellent customer service and operational performance. The role involves managing day-to-day activities, monitoring performance, coaching team members, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and manage a team to achieve individual and departmental targets.
Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and team meetings.
Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members to maximise performance and career progression.
Monitor productivity, quality, and service standards, taking corrective action where required.
Allocate workloads and manage resources to ensure operational efficiency.
Handle employee relations matters, including attendance, disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes in accordance with company policies.
Identify training needs and implement development plans for team members.
Analyse performance data and prepare reports for senior management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, and relevant legal requirements.
Manage customer issues and escalations professionally, ensuring satisfactory resolution.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.
Support organisational change and communicate business updates effectively.

Skills and Experience Essential

Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.

Experience managing performance and handling employee relations issues.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Competent in Microsoft Office and business systems.
