At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life. We are a much-loved and well supported charity, at the heart of our community. We have three hospices, a range of community services, and 26 charity shops in Coventry and Warwickshire.
About the role
We’re looking for a fixed-term Administrator to join our Volunteering Development team, to support with the range of administrative processes relating to volunteering at The Myton Hospices.
You’ll be ensuring that both potential and current Volunteers, as well as Volunteer Managers, have a positive experience with Myton.
As our Volunteering Development Administrator, a typical day might include:
- Responding to email and phone enquiries from prospective and current Volunteers
- Answering internal queries about volunteer recruitment & management
- Advertising volunteering opportunities on our Volunteer Management System and via local partner organisations
- Monitoring vetting, compliance and training processes for Volunteers
- Producing reports of volunteering data such as impact, engagement and compliance
- Supporting with administration and delivery of ‘Volunteer Thank You’ events
This role will support our work by encouraging new Volunteers to join us and ensuring longer-term engagement, which can enable us to grow our income and support more patients and families, when they need us most.
It will be office-based in either Warwick or Coventry, but with some travel required to other sites in Coventry and Warwickshire, such as our charity shops and our Rugby Hub.
The estimated start date is 5th October 2026 and it will be a fixed term contract for 16 weeks.
About you
We are seeking a Volunteering Development Administrator with:
- Experience in administration and/or office processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of using IT systems including databases
- An eye for detail
- The right to work in the UK (we cannot provide sponsorship)
Other roles you may have experience of could include: Database Administrator; Office Administrator; Helpdesk Assistant; PA; Customer Service Advisor.
A standard DBS check will be required because you will be working in an adult healthcare environment. We will arrange and cover the cost of this check.
