Overview

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior chefs, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards.
Support food production processes by preparing ingredients, garnishes, and basic components for menu items.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations.
Supervise and manage small team members or junior staff when required, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Contribute to maintaining stock levels, receiving deliveries, and properly storing ingredients to minimize waste.
Follow detailed recipes and cooking instructions accurately to ensure consistency across all dishes served.

Skills

Proven experience in a kitchen environment or culinary setting, with a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities that support team management efforts.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for hygiene and sanitation.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
