Full job description

Davies Crane Hire Ltd is a well-established and respected crane hire company, providing high-quality lifting solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Mobile Tower Crane Operator to join our team, operating a Mobile Tower Crane based from our Cardiff Depot.

The Role

As a Mobile Tower Crane Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of a Mobile Tower Crane on a variety of sites, supporting residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Safe operation of a Mobile Tower Crane in line with manufacturer guidance and company procedures
Setting up, operating, and dismantling the crane on site
Carrying out daily checks and basic maintenance
Working closely with site teams, lift supervisors, and slingers/signallers
Ensuring all lifting operations comply with health & safety regulations
Maintaining a professional attitude when representing Davies Crane Hire on site

Requirements

Valid CPCS Crane Operator card A40
Proven experience operating Mobile Tower Cranes (Desirable)
Full UK driving licence
Strong understanding of safe lifting operations and site procedures
Reliable, flexible, and safety-focused approach to work
Willingness to work across South Wales and travel as required
