Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accounts Manager to oversee our organisation’s financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial management processes, ensuring accurate financial accounting, and providing strategic financial planning. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated finance team and contribute to the organisation’s financial health and growth. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a strong background in financial services and leadership.

Duties

Overseeing all aspects of finance: accounting, invoicing, payments, reconciliations, cash flow, and reporting.
Handling month-end closes, preparing management accounts and basic financial reports.
Managing cash flow, banking, and ensuring timely compliance (VAT, tax filings, etc.).
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and simple financial analysis to help guide business choices of the Company.
Setting up and improving finance processes, tools, and controls suitable for the Company.
Providing clear financial insights and advice to the Company.
Helping to build and lead the finance function of the Company.

Requirements

Relevant experience in finance/accounting (several years preferred, e.g., in a commercial or small business setting).
Good understanding of UK accounting basics, VAT, and compliance.
Hands-on experience with accounting software.
Accounting qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential – relevant experience is desirable.
Background in small companies, startups, or growing SME.
Practical, organised, and proactive – comfortable working independently or in a small team.
Able to explain numbers simply to team members without a financial background.
Experience improving processes or implementing simple systems.
Interest in supporting business growth and strategy

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
