The Opportunity

Swansway Motor Group is looking for a skilled MOT Tester with a passion for precision and customer care. Based at one of our well-regarded dealerships, you will join a team dedicated to excellence and innovation. As an MOT Tester, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of safety and reliability, ensuring that all vehicles are road-ready and living up to their full potential.

Role Responsibilities

In your role as an MOT Tester at Swansway Motor Group, you will:

Conduct ongoing service repair and pre-delivery inspection checks of vehicles in line with manufacturer guidelines.
Collaborate with the Workshop Controller and Service Advisor team to communicate additional work or escalation needs.
Use our 'see it now' service to record and convey necessary work on customer vehicles.
Perform diagnostic checks and road tests to verify vehicle quality and safety post-service.
Complete precise and thorough service documentation including job sheets, PDIs, and DISS reports.

About you

Our ideal MOT Tester is a driven team player with a keen attention to detail. You will possess:

A L3 qualification in vehicle service and repair, accompanied by a valid MOT licence.
At least three years of experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
A remarkable ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
A genuine 'can-do' attitude and the motivation to excel.
A valid driving licence, enabling you to carry out vehicle road tests safely.
