Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Weekend Gallery Assistant to join our vibrant team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to engage with the arts community, support gallery operations, and ensure visitors have an inspiring experience. As a Weekend Gallery Assistant, you will be the welcoming face of the gallery, assisting visitors, maintaining exhibits, and supporting daily activities that keep the gallery running smoothly. Your energy and passion for art will help foster a dynamic and inviting environment for all guests.

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

Opening and closing the gallery spaces at the beginning and end of each day.
Invigilate spaces
Capable of overseeing the arrival of visitors with warmth and ease.
Receiving incoming calls, taking accurate messages, and transferring calls to the team.
Monitor the NAC e-mail box and respond to all enquiries in a timely fashion.
Support on the delivery of events taking place at the New Art Centre including private views and lunches.
Communicate with the Estate team to maintain the good condition of the buildings.
Manage sales of gallery plates and publications in person and online.

Applicants must have access to transport and be able to drive to work.
