Full job description

This is for someone young, sharp, and obsessed with the YouTube entrepreneurial content space: strong creative direction, can write without AI, can hold a camera, and organised enough to run a production machine. If you miss deadlines or procrastinate, skip this.

Location: Warwickshire, in person. Open to candidates in Manchester and the surrounding area who are willing to relocate.

Type: Part-time (2–3 days/week) → Full-time as you level up

Starting pay: £2,500/month part-time, with a defined career ladder to £6-8k+/month (elaborated below)

What you'll actually be doing early on

This is a hands-on fulfilment role from day one, split across my personal brand and our agency clients. Expect to be:

Serving existing content-agency YouTube clients - you're in the work, not adjacent to it
Leaving edit reviews on client videos - clear, specific feedback that editors can act on
Writing scripts for clients (and for my content)
Creating and directing YouTube thumbnails and packaging
Shipping my backlog - getting recorded long-forms edited, packaged, and published on cadence
Managing freelance editors and writers

The mission

Build the organic content machine around me until my entire job is to show up, perform on camera, and say yes or no.

Everything else - ideation, scripting, packaging, production, editors, publishing, analytics - progressively becomes yours. The money increases as I become less necessary to my own content operation.

You're not joining someone "starting a YouTube channel." You're stepping into a working operation.

I run AttentionGrow, the strategy layer behind YouTube channels with 4.5B+ organic long-form views across clients
Clients and collaborations include Chris Bumstead, PlayStation, WillNE, Kwebbelkop (16M subs), The Spiffing Brit, Dexerto - and I've consulted on YouTube strategy for the Dalai Lama's team
There are long-form videos waiting to ship right now, plus a newsletter, an X.com pipeline, and freelance editors/writers you'll inherit and manage
The bottleneck is not ideas, footage, clients, or money. It's that no one owns the machine.

Why now

The operation has outgrown me. There's more footage, more ideas, and more distribution opportunity than I can personally manage, and every week I spend project-managing is a week the best content doesn't ship.

I'm NOT building a 12-person content department. I'm hiring one person who eventually runs it.

The career ladder

Founding Producer

Coordinates and provides feedback to freelancers, speaks with clients, packages YouTube content.
£2–2.5k/mo (PT)

Content Operator

Owns the content machine, end to end
£3–4k/mo

Head of Content

Ideation → production → distribution → KPIs
£5–6k/mo

Media Lead

Builds the team, owns attributable growth
£6–8k+/mo

Formal review at 3 months. You move up by making me unnecessary.

What you'll learn (the part that's worth more than the salary)

You'll work directly with me on ideation, hooks, scripting, packaging, production, analytics, and monetisation - the same playbook used with billion-dollar brands and 16M-subscriber channels. You'll see the real numbers behind which videos create meaningful leads and revenue.

Fast feedback, constantly. At first we decide together. The goal is that you internalise my taste fast enough that eventually you're making most calls without me. For an ambitious 20-something in the content space, getting paid to learn how a creator-led business actually turns attention into revenue is the real compensation.

Why in-person

This role is deliberately in-person because you'll be directing shoots, working beside me, and learning through repetition. If you're looking for a remote editing job, this isn't it.
