Full job description

Moor Fabrications is an manufacturing company based in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset. We specialise in the application of plastic manufacturing techniques, such as thermoplastic welding, pipe fusion, line-bending, machining and CNC operations.

We do not expect our new starters to have previous experience with our processes. We are willing to train anyone who is comfortable with technical drawings and problem solving, developing them into independent technicians with excellent practical skills. Thermoplastic fusion techniques are clean and safe, which with a bit of patience and attention to detail, anyone can learn.

Key Responsibilities:

Hands-on work, including thermoplastic fusion processes and other common fabrication processes
Working with the technical drawings made by our customers or in-house design team, to produce a wide range of equipment for a number of different industries.

Essential Skills:

Ability to read technical drawings and follow work instructions
Strong verbal communication skills
Experience with basic hand and power tools (e.g. knives and routers)

Desirable Attributes:

Time management
Quick learner
Positive attitude
Health and Safety Awareness
Previous Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
Previous Experience in Carpentry or Steel Work

Beneficial Qualifications:

GCSEs in Maths/English

Other Requirements:

The right to work within the UK (unfortunately we do not offer visa sponsorship at this time)
Ability to commute to our workshop/office in Weston-super-Mare

Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
