We are looking for a proactive and reliable Building Maintenance Technician to join our Site Services team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM), statutory compliance testing, and general building maintenance to ensure our facilities remain safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.
You'll carry out a range of planned maintenance and compliance activities, including:

Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

Weekly fire alarm and fire sprinkler testing

Emergency lighting testing
-
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
-
Fire door inspections
-
Ladder and step ladder inspections
-
Drainage and sump pump inspections
-
General building and plant room inspections
-
Minor maintenance and repair works
-
Recording maintenance activities and compliance checks
-
Reporting defects and supporting specialist contractors

Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety procedures
Essential Experience/Qualifications
-
Experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a similar maintenance role

Knowledge of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

Good practical maintenance skills and a proactive approach to problem solving

Excellent organisational and communication skills
-
The ability to work independently and manage their own workload
-
A strong commitment to health, safety, and quality
Desirable:
-
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) qualification or experience
-
Experience with fire alarm, fire sprinkler, emergency lighting or fire door inspections

Basic plumbing, electrical or mechanical maintenance skills
