Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques, particularly MIG welding, and possess the ability to fabricate and assemble components with precision. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all welding and fitting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding and other welding processes as required, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Fabricate components from sheet metal and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
- Assemble parts and structures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively, meeting deadlines.
- Spray paint completed parts and equipment.
Skills
- Proficient in MIG welding techniques with experience in various types of welding.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes, including the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Experience in assembly work, ensuring that components fit together correctly.
- Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work consistently.
- Experience in steel preparation and spraying.
