We're looking for an experienced Head of Quality to lead and develop our quality function, ensuring products, processes and suppliers consistently meet the highest standards of performance, compliance and customer satisfaction. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys making a tangible impact across a business.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will take ownership of quality across the business, driving continuous improvement, supplier performance, compliance and operational excellence.
A key focus of this role will be supplier quality management, ensuring suppliers, materials and processes support business growth, product reliability and exceptional customer outcomes. This position requires someone who is equally comfortable developing strategy as they are rolling up their sleeves to solve problems and implement improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Leadership
- Develop and implement the company-wide quality strategy.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Act as the quality subject matter expert across the business.
- Partner with Operations, Technical and Supply Chain teams to drive performance.
Supplier Quality (Critical Priority)
- Lead supplier quality performance across the supply chain.
- Develop supplier audits, scorecards and performance metrics.
- Manage supplier non-conformance, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support supplier selection, onboarding and ongoing performance management.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure products consistently meet customer and technical requirements.
- Maintain quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Manage internal, supplier and customer audits.
- Support ISO management and certification activities.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead investigations into quality issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Use data, KPIs and quality tools to drive performance improvements.
- Standardise processes and improve operational efficiency across the business
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a quality leader who combines technical expertise with commercial awareness and strong stakeholder management skills.
Essential Experience
- Significant leadership experience in a Head of Quality, Quality Director or similar senior role.
- Strong supplier quality and supply chain quality management experience.
- Proven experience managing audits, compliance and quality systems.
- Strong understanding of root cause analysis methodologies, including FMEA, 8D or similar.
- Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills.
- Experience within a complex manufacturing environment such as aerospace, automotive or similar industries

Pay: £60,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
