Eventus Legal are seeking a Private Client Solicitor (5+ PQE) to join a respected regional law firm in Ludlow, Shropshire. This is a permanent job offering a genuine 35-hour working week, flexible hybrid working following probation and the option to work full-time or four days per week. This opportunity based in Ludlow combines high-quality private client work with genuine work-life balance, long-term career development and a supportive team culture. You will be joining an established and growing private client department within a well-regarded law firm that is committed to investing in its people.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Senior Associate Solicitor to join a thriving private client team with a loyal client base and strong reputation across the region. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied caseload, significant client contact and the opportunity to contribute to the continued success and growth of the department. This job offers a rewarding blend of quality work, autonomy and collaboration within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing a diverse caseload of private client matters from instruction through to completion
Providing expert advice on wills, probate, estate administration and lasting powers of attorney
Advising clients on trust creation and wider succession planning matters
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, referrers and professional contacts
Contributing to business development initiatives and networking activities
Supporting the continued growth and profile of the private client department
Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent client experience
Ensuring compliance with professional regulations, firm policies and best practice requirements
Maintaining accurate records and file management procedures in line with regulatory obligations
Supporting effective billing, financial management and debt recovery processes

About You

You will be an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive who enjoys developing long-term client relationships and delivering a high standard of legal advice. This position would suit a personable and commercially aware professional seeking a long-term career move within a supportive and forward-thinking law firm. You will be motivated by quality work, client service excellence and the opportunity to contribute to a successful team.

You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience in private client law
Strong technical expertise across wills, probate, trusts and estate planning matters
Ability to manage a varied workload independently while meeting deadlines
Proactive approach to business development and relationship building
Confidence using legal technology and case management systems
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards of work
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional approach with a sound understanding of regulatory compliance requirements
Positive and collaborative attitude with a genuine commitment to client care
Full UK driving licence
