Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Sales Counter Assistant in the heating/plumbing and bathroom trade , where your enthusiasm and customer-focused approach will drive positive experiences at our retail location. In this energetic role, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing expert assistance, answering inquiries, and ensuring smooth sales transactions. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that encourages customer loyalty and satisfaction. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills while making a meaningful impact on our community.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating our products quick and easily
Provide detailed product information, including features and benefits, to support customer decisions
Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems, ensuring proper handling of payments and receipts
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sales counter and bathroom sales area to promote a professional appearance
Assist with inventory management by restocking shelves and notifying management of low stock levels
Maintaining the highly active deliveries in and out process
Collaborate with team members to ensure high levels of customer service are consistently delivered throughout the day
Working days consist of 8:15am - 5pm -Monday-friday with occasional saturdays 8:15am - midday

Experience

Prior experience in retail sales is highly desirable but not necessary, demonstrating familiarity with customers and clients
Product knowledge and experience would be a great asset to us
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product details clearly and empathetically
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
A proactive mindset with a genuine enthusiasm for helping others and supporting team goals
Full driving licence
Retail sales ( 2 years preferred )
