Job Overview

Are you an organised administrator with excellent communication skills?

Grantham & the Vale of Belvoir Methodist Circuit and Bingham Methodist Church are seeking an enthusiastic, professional and well-organised Methodist Circuit & Church Administrator to provide high-quality administrative support across the Circuit and local church.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll play a vital part in supporting the ministry and mission of our churches by ensuring the smooth running of administrative systems, meetings, communications, safeguarding processes and property lettings.

About the Role

Working closely with ministers, church officers and volunteers, you will:

· Provide day-to-day administrative support for the Circuit and church.

· Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take accurate minutes and monitor follow-up actions.

· Coordinate church and circuit newsletters and support communications, including website updates where appropriate.

· Maintain accurate membership and contact databases in line with GDPR requirements.

· Support safeguarding administration, including maintaining training and DBS records.

· Administer church property bookings and lettings, including hire agreements and invoicing.

· Assist with financial administration, reporting and Charity Commission trustee record updates.

· Provide administrative support for church events, projects and the day-to-day running of the office.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

· Previous administrative experience in a busy environment.

· Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

· Experience of preparing agendas and taking accurate meeting minutes.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

· Experience maintaining electronic databases and confidential records.

· The ability to work independently while building positive relationships with a wide range of people.

· A commitment to confidentiality, data protection and high professional standards.

It would be an advantage if you also have experience of working within a church, charity or voluntary organisation, administering safeguarding records, managing room bookings and lettings, producing newsletters, or using church management databases.
