Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of food safety standards. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. You will play a crucial role in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection while maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal dishes.
Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient meal preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continually enhance skills.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
A passion for cooking and creating exceptional meals that delight customers.
Culinary qualifications or certifications are an advantage but not essential.
