York | Office & Field Based | Full-Time
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE) + Commission + Bonus

At Inspired Joinery & Projects, we're building a premium kitchen and home renovation company with a strong reputation for exceptional design, outstanding customer service and high-quality workmanship.
As demand continues to grow, we're looking for an ambitious Kitchen Designer to become a key part of our team.
This isn't a role where you'll simply sit behind a desk producing CAD drawings. You'll work closely with our Director throughout the customer journey, visiting clients in their homes, carrying out detailed surveys, creating inspiring kitchen designs and helping deliver an outstanding customer experience from initial concept through to installation.
As the business grows, you'll have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility and become an integral part of our long-term vision.
The role
As our Kitchen Designer, you'll be responsible for:
- Visiting clients' homes across Yorkshire alongside the Director
- Measuring kitchens and carrying out detailed site surveys
- Producing high-quality kitchen designs using CAD software
- Presenting design ideas and creating design revisions
- Managing client communication throughout the design process
- Liaising with suppliers regarding quotations, specifications and orders
- Producing accurate quotations and design documentation
- Assisting with material ordering and handling where required
- Supporting the wider team to ensure projects run smoothly
- Helping maintain the exceptional level of customer service we're known for
This role is a mixture of office-based design work and visiting clients, meaning no two days are the same.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous kitchen design experience
- Is confident measuring kitchens in customers' homes
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
- Enjoys building relationships with clients
- Is organised, proactive and detail-oriented
- Can manage multiple projects at once
- Is confident using CAD software (ArtiCAD experience is advantageous but not essential)
- Holds a full UK driving licence
