Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our current team in one of our 3 residential care homes in the Tamworth area. In this role, you will provide essential support to older people in need (many of whom have dementia) , ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being; promoting independence and dignity while delivering personalised care.
Early shifts 07:00 to 15:00. Late shifts 15:00 to 22:00 and Night shifts 22:00 to 07: available
Duties
- Assist people with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, toileting (where needed) and dressing.
- Help with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety during movement.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while providing care.
- Monitor and record peoples’ health conditions and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light cleaning duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with people and their families.
- Empathy and patience are crucial traits for this role.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Care Certificate or NVQ in Health and Social Care would be a distinct advantage in progressing within the organisation
- A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
