The Role: GRP Repairer/Finisher
Location: Pro-Tect GRP Offices Llansamlet, Swansea, SA6 8QZ
Hours: Full time position, Monday-Friday, 7.00 –3.30
Salary: £12.21 Starting rate
This is a great opportunity for someone organised, proactive, and confident who wants to learn the ropes of GRP manufacture in a supportive team environment.
The desired operative will have GRP Industry experience with a background in Car Body Repairs/GRP Repair Work (Some training in the specifics of the role will be provided, but a background in GRP Operations/repair will be advantageous).
As part of the Finishing department, the successful candidate will be required to :
- Be competent in the use of finishing equipment and associated COSHH compounds.
- Be competent in all elements of the repair processes.
- Be able to work as part of a team and as an individual.
- Be competent in the use of power tools i.e. mechanical polisher, sanders etc.
- Meet all targets and deadlines.
- Abide by the company's Health and Safety controls.
- Undertake any other duties as and when necessary.
- Maintain a high quality standard.
The following qualities are desirable:
- A background in Car body repairs
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent practical skills
- Strong Communication Skills
- Time spent in the GRP industry
- Ability to work as an individual.
Punctuality and attendance is particularly important with this role as on occasions you will be working individually for the most part.
