Join our Knights Hill Hotel hospitality team as a Hotel Porter, where your energetic and welcoming attitude will set the tone for an exceptional guest experience. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, assisting with luggage, providing directions, and ensuring a smooth arrival and departure process. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a memorable stay for every visitor, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of our hotel. Duties include but not limited to:
- Check & deliver room service breakfasts
- Set up meeting rooms as per the agreed standards Manual
- Greet meetings organise for every meeting, service and change rooms at request
- Organise daily lunch requirements
- Serve Teas & Coffee in the lounge
- Assist guests with luggage & any other requirements
- Set up and Clean Bar in Garden Bar and Knight Barn. (NB both of these areas fall within the food hygiene regulations checks)
- Deliver spa food if ordered
- Re stock brochure racks around hotel
- Assist reception when needed with any arrivals or departure & answer the phone when busy.
- Assist the Housekeeping department with designated duties.
- Empty office bins & shredders. Keep back office kitchen clean & tidy & remove all plates & cutlery to relevant kitchens.
- Any general ground and maintenance tasks as requested by the Duty Manager.
- Support team members during busy periods by performing additional duties such as delivering messages or assisting with guest inquiries
Requirements
- Prior hotel or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; a passion for guest service is essential
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to handle inquiries professionally
- Strong knowledge of hospitality standards and guest service best practices
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift luggage for extended periods comfortably
- A positive attitude, energetic demeanor, and a genuine desire to help others
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Full time hours are working 5 out of 7 days, part time hours also available which will include weekend working.
Hourly rate meets national living wage for age.
