Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Waitress and Barista to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages and food, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a memorable experience, possess strong organisational skills, and have a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialised coffee drinks
- Serve food items in accordance with health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including counters, tables, and equipment
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
- Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering questions about menu items
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Follow food safety procedures and maintain hygiene standards at all times
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables to ensure a tidy environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista or in serving roles is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and bill calculations
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Organised with an eye for detail to ensure high standards of service are maintained
