Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to support residents with their daily needs. Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Support residents in their daily activities, including mobility, meal assistance, and recreational engagement.
- Follow care plans meticulously to meet individual health and wellbeing requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to promote a positive environment.
- Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment within the care home.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills in English to interact effectively with residents and colleagues.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and reliably.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills and patience.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
