Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Wagon Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting skips safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage various driving tasks.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a skip wagon, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner, maintaining delivery schedules.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
- Load and unload cargo, securing it properly for transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to safety, security, and customer service.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Skip Wagon Driver is essential.
- A valid CPC and driving licence is essential for this role.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during deliveries.
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
Hours are Monday to Friday 6:30-4:30pm and every other Saturday.
Wage is dependant on experience.
