Ultimate Trailer Centre is looking for a skilled and motivated Trailer Mechanic to become part of our friendly, family-run business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
About the Role
As our Trailer Mechanic, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of customer trailers (specifically Brian James trailers or similar), as well as ensuring our own fleet remains safe, reliable and ready for use. You'll play an important role in keeping our workshop running efficiently and providing excellent service to our customers.
Working closely with our sales team and our parts specialist, you'll help ensure repairs are completed efficiently, parts are ordered promptly and customers receive the highest level of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair customer trailers to a high standard.
- Inspect, diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and braking faults.
- Carry out routine maintenance and safety inspections on our own trailer fleet.
- Work closely with the sales team to prepare trailers for delivery and customer handover.
- Liaise with the parts specialist to identify and source the correct components.
- Complete job records accurately and maintain a clean, organised workshop.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working on trailers, commercial vehicles or similar equipment.
- Has strong mechanical and fault-finding skills.
- Takes pride in producing quality work.
- Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
