Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining outdoor spaces to a high standard, ensuring grounds remain clean, safe, and well-presented throughout the year.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous grounds maintenance or landscaping experience who enjoys working outdoors and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Grass cutting and lawn maintenance
- Hedge trimming and pruning
- Weed control and general site upkeep
- Leaf clearance and seasonal maintenance
- Operating and maintaining grounds maintenance equipment and machinery
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Travelling between sites as required
- Winter gritting and snow clearing
Requirements/Essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
Preferred
- Ideally 21 years of age or over (for vehicle insurance purposes)
- Ideally 2 years' experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a similar role
- Experience using commercial grounds maintenance equipment
- Relevant horticultural or landscaping qualifications (advantageous but not essential)

Pay: £24,785.00-£28,500.00 per year
