Elm House Care Home is looking for a friendly and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to help provide nutritious, home-cooked meals for our residents while working in a welcoming and supportive environment.

- Location: Elm House Care Home, Pillory Street, Nantwich
- Hours: 20 hours per week
- Shift Pattern: 8:00am – 2:00pm & 1:00pm – 6:00pm (includes alternate weekend working)
- Pay: £12.71 per hourAbout the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the Cook and wider kitchen team to ensure meals are prepared and served to a high standard while maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety practices.
Your Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of meals, snacks and beverages.
- Preparing vegetables, salads and simple food items.
- Serving meals to residents in a friendly and professional manner.
- Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and hygienic at all times.
- Following food hygiene, health and safety, and infection prevention procedures.
- Receiving and storing deliveries correctly.
- Supporting the kitchen team with daily duties as required.
