Transport Shift Manager – Widnes

About the Role
Running the busy transport team, you will report directly to the Depot Manager. You will be responsible for the Team Leaders, Lead drivers & a driving team.
You will lead the driver team, making sure they are trained in driving standards, customer services, and health & safety, looking after our drivers, customers, and vehicles.
The role will involve organising deliveries, re-deliveries, and resolving any issues that arise in conjunction with the site management team.
Working with the whole team to achieve our goal of deliveries on time, in full whilst working within budget requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience Required:

PC literate in programmes such as Microsoft Office

Experience in legislative compliance

Experience in a transport operation

System knowledge of fleet systems: Telematics, Tachomaster etc

Strong financial knowledge and experience to drive cost control across the operation, including fleet cost, fuel, and rota planning

Some technical knowledge of HGV and LGV

Experience in managing teams of people

CPC holder (preferred)
Salary: £40,850.00 per annum, 45 hours per week
